Week 1 - Clarity in Delivery

Welcome to Mrs. Miller's Public Speaking Class. I look forward to getting to know you all better as we give our introductory speeches.

This week we will also be discussing the basics of speaking in front of people. We will also discuss some basics of communication; clarity (Walter Cronkite), enunciation, (BBC anchorwoman) , and eye contact (Dave Ramsey). We will also analyze our own speaking style so we can improve it over the course of the term (Heynabonics).

Please analyze one of the above links and post it to the blog. Let us all know how these speakers applied the concepts of clarity, enunciation, and eye contact to their speeches.

By the beginning of next week you will be expected to present a short introductory speech to the class. Try to use what you've learned so far while you are presenting.
